In 1828, the University of Central Lancashire was founded in Preston, UK as the Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge.

Today UCLan is rated as one of the UK’s highest risers in the National League Table and is one of the UK’s largest universities, with a student and staff community approaching 38,000. Internationally, the university has academic partners in all regions of the globe.

Enrol with one of the following qualifications:

• NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Cyber Security (L5DC (CS))
• Pearson Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing (Network Engineering)
• Pearson Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing (Cyber Security)
• Qualifi Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security
• SQA Advanced Diploma in Computing: Networking
• SQA HND Cyber Security
• Any similar qualification approved by NCC Education and UCLan

Units comprise of weekly video lectures, tutorial exercises, discussion forums and live chat sessions with subject experts. Students will have the opportunity to interact with other students from around the world.

Students study five core units;

• Advanced Database Management Systems
• Corporate Communication Systems Management
• Cloud and Virtualisation Security
• Cyber Security Management
• Information Systems Projects

NCC Education has partnered with Immersive Labs to offer students the opportunity to gain hands on experience in tackling cybersecurity challenges using a cloud-based platform. This will be utilised by the Module Leaders to offer a greater depth of understanding to cyber security challenges faced by organisations.

With the relevant management experience, graduates of the programme are also eligible for entry onto the Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (L7DBM) awarded by NCC Education and now available online or face to face. Upon successful completion of the L7DBM, students are able to progress onto a number of MSc qualifications. Alternatively, graduates can continue their studies with the University of Central Lancashire by entering onto a number of related MSc programmes.
