In our PhD by research program, the Kingsley Institute Of Management and the Innovative Knowledge Institute are committed to pairing you with the most suitable mentor for your research. Our mentors are carefully selected from esteemed universities in France and across the globe. They possess exceptional qualifications, enjoy collaborating with fellow researchers, and bring extensive expertise in their respective fields. The mentor-student relationship is highly flexible, allowing you and your mentor to determine the most effective mode of communication. Whether it be through online platforms, email, Skype, telephone, or face-to-face meetings, the choice is yours. We understand the importance of personalized guidance, and therefore, students have the option to request a specific mentor who aligns with their research interests and goals.
Research degrees require strong investigative skills, writing abilities, and critical analysis.
PhD/DBA degrees can be completed within three academic years. Transfer students and those with previous study and research experience may receive credit.
Extensions are permitted, with a maximum of four terms for a Master’s and eight terms for a Doctorate.
Each academic term is three months, and students are required to enroll for a certain number of terms based on their degree level.
Research degrees can be started at the beginning of any month, with the term beginning on the first date of matriculation.
Overall, the process involves thorough assessment and examination of research work, with opportunities for improvement and publishing outcomes.
Applicants must possess either a relevant Master’s degree or the Level 7 Diploma to be considered for admission. In exceptional cases, individuals without a degree may be granted admission if they have a minimum of five years of work experience in the field of study or a related area. Proficiency in English is also required, with a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS exam or an approved equivalent. It is recommended to have a level of English proficiency at 6.5 or higher on the IELTS exam or an approved equivalent. Alternatively, applicants may take our internal English test online. Additionally, applicants are expected to submit an acceptable concept paper or synopsis outlining their intended research area.
To maximize the potential of your research, we provide two courses that will ensure a strong foundation:
1. Advanced Research for PhD Students Course:
– Learn the Proposal Development Process
– Prepare for Field Research
– Undertake Field Research
– Master Report Writing
– Gain insights into Supervision
– Understand the Submission of your thesis
2. Research Methods for Managers Course:
This module focuses on developing students’ comprehension and abilities in research design, research methods, and research presentation.
Assessment: Both courses culminate in the completion of a Thesis with an oral defense, which is worth 60 ECTS credits.
